Green collar - lightening connector

I got to try out the green collar lightening cable using an iPhone 5s, although it displayed the album artwork correctly on the c.m.s it didn't play movies downloaded from iTunes or recorded video from phone. It brought up the option menu for video ( or movies can't remember ) under the music option through connecting a media device but all came up unrecognised format.

Has anyone in the u.k been able to play movies on the c.m.s with any cable ?

Only with an Iphone 4S and the red collared lead.

Was that with iTunes downloads and does the red cable come in lightening and 30 pin?

Red cable is only 30pin,not sure about itunes i played a video i had recorded.
