Just spotted that Navteq have released updated maps for both Media & Pro units - these are based on Q3/2012 rather than Q1/2012 (which is what was supplied with my car just a few weeks ago). If you currently have version "21" on the Discover Media, then you have the older Q1/2012 maps and can download a free update from the navteq web-site below:

The Discover Media update includes an interesting new folder on the SD Card called 'styles' (in markets\eu\map) that contains lots of configuration files - most are in easily readable xml format (some even contain comments from the author) together with bitmaps in png format for all the POI's as well as other stuff like the vehicle icon (arrow in a circle) on the map. As a test, I tried replacing the vehicle icons with my own and these worked just fine so looks like plenty of opportunities here for those that like to hack their systems to be a bit more unique...
