Drove it 400 miles right off the lot to take grandma from wisconsin to indiana[emoji38]

Awesome little car! Nicest car i've driven, coming from a built, 380WHP Supercharged Cobalt SS. Was such a fun car but was tired of the build quality and it was starting to have issues. So jumped ship :(

Drove the GTI for the weekend, then got took it GRD in west chicago on MONDAY to have the APR 93 octane Low output stage 1 tune flashed.

Felt great, enough power to spin 2nd if needed but good enough to (hopefully) keep the clutch safe should I never launch it.

Weathertech front floor mats that friday, tinted windows that saturday.

Deep wash/clay/compound/seal/wax that monday.

GFB Diverter Valve + installed last week, still not BOV noise or intake noise haha. Intake will be needed....

Carbon fiber license plate frames

Then installed my Ed replica GTI headlights with Morimoto HID kit yesterday! :)

Was the LP grill installed with the above pic? Im fine with how that looks and Im hoping to hear that I can save a few bucks by not purchasing it with the EDs Headlights.

Lovin this car alot gotta say.

Spent a few hours detailing today with some buddies, did the red gti badge, black vw badges. Debadge rear. Low level stuff that makes a big difference in the vehicles look imo. Haha

thanks man!

so i can hear my turbo alot better now:
removed air box 'gaurd' thing under the filter
removed hood blanket
removed soundaktor

now i can hear some whistle and pshh when the windows cracked :D

But that's all for naught since today my APR intake should be in. :)

Haha agreed or red ;) yea def liking the sound, doubt theres much of a performance gain unless i go ahead and do all the chargepipes too... Which may happen one day lol.

Other plan currently in the mix of ideas is a fluidamper. Loved my ati damper on the cobalt and would be nice to smoothen things up for the longhaul here.

I guess short story on the cobalt for anyone interested: it was a supercharged one that i built to the roof. Was one of the closest ones to get to 400whp without nitrous; it had cams, ported head, big supercharger, full fuel system and everything else. Alot faster than this just not as nice.

Heres a pull vid.
Top of gear speeds for reference:
1st : 30ish
2nd: 80
3rd: 120
4th: 150ish

You need to order a front engine cover to help.

ECS Tuning sells them.
I posted a picture from my build thread showing the smaller front engine cover.
Sits between main engine cover and the front air intake box.
If you buy, just be care full when you remove. It is help on by 3 different attachments.
Do not pull up on all ends like you do the main cover. The only one that pulls up is the connection on the right side.
If you forget and pull hard to you can break something, as I did.
