Disappearing menu

The SMS menu seems to have disappeared from my Golf phone screen.
I should add that I have just added two iPhones to the menu. Previously, I had Android phones. Not sure if this would make any difference.
Any help would be gratefully received.

For the record, I have been informed by a very helpful VW UK support that the two iPhones newly connected with the car are not compatible with SMS, although the phones work fine.
No great loss.
