Long time since last update.

Some time ago I installed a “CTS Turbo intake” kit. I like the sound from the intake, not to loud :D.

Can you tell me the part that your vacuum line is connected to? I switched mine over from a GTI so it had the air breather which now would have a big hole. I could email support just thought you could help.

Thanks,

R / CS S front Brakes

Did an upgrade of my front brakes last week.

It’s the same discs and pads as the GTI Clubsport S have and the new R 7.5 option “performance brakes” (OEM parts). They have centre of aluminium alloy. Significantly lighter than the others :D! See other treads for more info.

Item no brake pads front: 5Q0 698 151 G
Item no brake rotors front: 5Q0 615 301 C

Brake upgrade front 2

My last upgrade. Brake cooling front for Audi RS3 2018. This is an OEM spare part which fits MQB GTI / R.

OEM no 8V0 407 811 and 8V0 407 812. Cost about 15 EUR each makes 30 EUR including straps at our lokal VW dealer.

This tread is about my Golf 7 R. I sold it a couple of days ago.

A Seat Leon Cupra R 310 (limited edition 799 units) have taken it’s place.
It had 10 km on the odo when I picked it up two weeks ago so it’s a new car but manufactured Feb this year.

Golf 7 R – A wonderful car, have had many joyful sessions with it, here is one:

Wow, you own one of only 499 built with manual and 306 HP! Guess there was no getting a discount on it.

https://www.netcarshow.com/seat/2018-leon_cupra_r/

I got a decent discount, I wanted the car very much! No 504 of 799, 30 distributed to Sweden, 24 to UK. Rather rare.

Very nice! I like that a lot. Wonderful color combo. Congrats.

Thanks!

I’m very satisfied with my Cupra R. The new WLTP classifications rules stops for the moment manufacturing of new Golf 7 GTI /R. In SE (or EU global for that matter) we can’t order them before the classifications are fulfilled. Therefore I started searching for an alternative, found an RS3 (with 600 km on the odo) and this Cupra R. Couldn’t find a Golf R 2018 new/not used.

This Cupra R was not demo used at all, had the speed limit left of 30km/h as they all have from factory. As everybody for sure knows it’s a Golf 7 under the specific bodywork. Same goes for RS3.
