FS: Brembo Stage 3 (rear) Big Brake Kit - $700

fahrenheit.981

Ready to race!
Location
Dallas, TX
Up for sale is a Brembo Stage 3 (rear) Big Brake Kit that I always meant to install but never did, because...life. All parts were purchased off VW forums from other members, so they're all assumed to have been used and assured by the forum member to be functional. However, I have not installed the parts to fact-check the seller.

Sale is as-is and final. If not local, buyer pays shipping. Will only accept cash or PayPal. If via PayPal, buyer either gifts funds or pays the 3% fee. If local, I'll only meet in a public place.

So, in the interest of no longer being an auto-parts hoarder, here's the description:

-Brembo Stage 3 *rear* Big Brake Kit (RARE): $700.00 FIRM, but will entertain offers within reason
• 1 pair of Porsche Cayenne 4-pot rear calipers w/new pads
• 4 bolts
• 1 pair of BRAND NEW R8/Ferrari F430 rear parking calipers w/new pads (retail for $800 EACH)
• 1 BRAND NEW set of "xola3que" mounting brackets (No Longer Available)
• This is what it will look like: http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114114

In the spirit of Black Friday...

...I’ll let this go for $700 SHIPPED. If you’re local, let’s work an even better deal. Sale good through Cyber Monday and goes back to originally posted price on Tuesday, 11/28.

What about the parking brake.
Is it mechanical or electrical?

Pics are up (click either the link in post #7 or the link in the OP)!

Take a gander at the most beautiful rear BBK ever assembled.

Apologies for not answering the question - This kit was originally meant to be installed on a MK5 GTI, and those had mechanical hand-brakes (i.e. the one where you manually pulled up to engage). However, I'm not entirely sure if this set is meant for the MK7's electrical e-brake (push-button). Maybe the pics will give a little insight?

from my understanding, EU cars have electronic parking brakes, North American version are still mechanical. My 2017 GTI SE has a manual/mechanical handbrake so this should work!

Y not. I thought that mk5,6,7 have the same rear brakes and everything. My mk7 is a mechanical hand brake. Only the mk7 r has the electrical hand brake.

On the other hand I wish this was a stage two. I want to use the 310x22 rotor.

Wow. So the mk7 GTI in America has mechanical handbrake? Please post a picture of the center console. I did not know that.
Maybe it is possible to convert from electronic to mechanical?

So it works with mechanical E-brake. Anything else we need to know to have this fit with the MK7? I think that's probably one of the reason this hasn't move as fast as it should.
