Had an ongoing issue with my left foot, likely aggravated by stop and go traffic lead me to start considering a trade to an automatic transmission. I've always wanted to try out the B8/8.5 S4, so I started looking around. I test drove a few and really enjoyed the ride quality and instantaneous throttle response of the supercharged 3.0. Of course I had to get an APR stage 1 the very same day.
I definitely have to get used to the lack of torque surge you'd get from a tuned turbo car. Flat torque is nice, but not the same. It's a huge car compared to the GTI, but it's pretty nimble still. Traction for days!
Also going back to pre-CarPlay is like going into the dark ages.
