I know mine are called progressive but actually are duel rate. When installed and loaded the part of spring used for ride quality is linear. The upper close springs control lowering height only on the Prokit. Not an expert but in my search this is my understanding.

Your correct, Linear is the same spring rate all the time.
Progressive springs can change their spring rate while moving, hence why when you look at progressive springs they are not evenly wound and usually have tighter space in between the coils in the middle. When unloaded they have 1 rate, loaded up the spring rate changes.
