1969 Hot Wheels VW "Beach Bomb" Prototype

You may have seen PBS's Antiques Roadshow last night S21 Ep11 Part1.

A man brought in a prototype Hot Wheels "Beach Bomb" that he acquired from his father Bob Perez. Mr. Perez was a foreman in the Mattel factory. The prototype never made it into production because it was found to be top-heavy.
