Last Date to Order 2017 GTI?

Does anyone know the last date to place an order for a 2017 GTI, in particular an Autobahn? I was informed that the VW plant in Mexico has stopped making the 2017 models and is gearing up to manufacture the 2018 (2017.5) model. I'm looking for a specific car that I just can't seem to find anywhere and thought I might be able to order it.

In case anyone is wondering, the answer from my dealership is March 30th.
