Help With this Message please?!

Hi All

Bought my first golf last week, donít know much about cars but this error message keeps coming up hoping someone could help?

I have cleaned the front sensor of the car and made sure no leaves/rubbish is stuck at the front but error keeps coming up.

Can anyone please help?

Many thanks.

Take it to the dealer, only time I have ever had that is driving in heavy snow and it goes on it's own.

Hi

I thought I had cleaned it but clearly not.

Where is the front sensor? (Apologies if that’s a stupid question!)

its the square black box in the lower grill....press gently if you press too hard you can knock it off alignment as the bracket is strong, but not that strong...

Hi

I have cleaned the front grill very thoroughly but that message keeps coming up.

Any other help before I take it to VW and pay £50 an hour!

Thanks

Surely it should be under warranty, even if not at £50 an hour that is one of the cheapest dealers in the country.

Just realised you don't say if the car is new or used...

if new 17 or 67 plate (MK7.5) then the sensor moved from the black box in the lower grill to behind the big VW logo...infact it is part of the logo..& if car under 6 months old then even if used it has warranty...& new cars have 3yrs warranty...

take to dealers.....
