Air con regas.

Hi all,

Our mk7 seems to have pretty pathetic aircon these days. I suspect it just needs a regas but does anyone have any experience with the usual suspects (Kwik fit) Vs dealer.

It seems kwik fit will do it for £50 at least, but.. any gotchas?

I would imagine this was a pretty common and well understood piece of work these days, no?

Try changing the pollen filter first and if you have VCDS/OBDeleven make sure your A/C is set to a Hot country as it makes a hell of a difference.

I think the pollen filter was changed last service, but I would say the air flow is fine, it's just the cooling capability seems weak. I do have OBDeleven so I'll look at that though. Not that we're a hot country of course..

Did mine last year and the speed the air-con gets to cold is much quicker. Well worth it.
