I ordered on 3/9 from cars245 just before the cart link was removed so I probably shouldn't get my hopes up but we'll see if they ended up doing one more run of these to fulfill pending orders.

CS resonator has the reducer built in so yes you need to use and fiddle with a reducer to be able to fit the CS muffler.

I was assuming that the install of a CS muffler would be the same as the install of the CSS muffler. Cut the pipe in the same marked location. Use a reducer instead of a coupler.

Correct?

I would imagine something like this would get the job done:

Not sure about sizing. After this, I guess you would need 2 clamps, one on each side? To clamp the reducer onto the muffler pipe and the resonator pipe.

Correct me if wrong.

That looks like a pricey one. I'd expect them to be closer to $10.

That is my non-expert understanding. You'd need a reducer (2.5" to 3") and 2 clamps (2.5" and 3").

Any exhaust shop will have these parts, I'm sure.

Digging through posts, Matt said GTI pipe is 65mm. CS muffler part listing says 55mm. These are outer diameter measurements. 2.5" to 3" would be too big then?

65 mm = 2.56 in
55 mm = 2.17 in

You're right. My bad. I keep getting those diameters mixed up.

For anyone else in North America considering the Remus dual tip I'd suggest contacting Mike Bower there (michael@remususa.com). He has stock and can give you forum member pricing.
