Midwest Track Enthusiast Thread - Dates - Events Planning

Hi All,

Trying to find more people to go to the track with next year! I try to do about 10 hpde events per year at various tracks around us (Road America, Grattan, Gingerman, Autobahn, Blackhawk Farms, Putnam Park) All are within about a 3 hour drive from Chicago.

Any other track rats local?

Here's a recent vid of me at Grattan a few weeks ago chasing down a camaro.

Sigh. Maybe in a few years when the price comes down a bit more people will start racing them.

Hey really cool. What kind of experience do you have? I can recommend a few clubs that do events around the midwest. Some are better for beginners than others. PM me if you'd like more info.

Where at in chicago are you? I'm in Jefferson park, a group of us meet usually every thursday out in the suburbs (lombard area) if you're interested in coming out some time.

I'll be doing MVP and NorthWoods Shelby Club events next year mainly at Road America and Blackhawk. Would love to try out Autobahn sometime.

Only done 1 track day in the R but I go to every event I can to bum rides off of some friends I have made. Couple of them are instructors with shelby club or the BMW club.
