APR stage 1 mk7 vs stage 2 Evo 9 MR Protuned

My buddy and I decided to have some fun one night *in Mexico* after I freshly flashed my mk7.

His EVO 9 is completely gutted and stage 2 pro-tuned by himself.

My Mk7 just sage 1 APR and a heavy foot.

From 55roll, we got to 140 and he beat me by a length and a half. I also had a poor start and the gap did not increase in size past 80mph.

Did not do a second race yet, I think he is scared of what my car might do with a good start, and maybe a stage 2 tune! (+dp)

evo9s are no joke. you can pump 30psi on stock turbo with good gas. hed kill you from a dig if he knows how to launch. i had an evo 8 with fbo and 25 psi.

Not bad, stage 2 you will get him for sure. I ran my buddys Evo 8 with a evo 9 turbo and it was FBO with a big cam, we went till about 50-160+, we were smack until about 145 is I came around him. He still denys it but I even had my girlfriend in the car and even rubs it in his face lol

Hopefully gonna line up with my buddy/coworker at the drag strip this weekend. He has Evo 9 with downpipe/exhaust/Cobb Accessport. I imagine he'll get me on the launch, just curious what our trap speeds look like! I'm APR Stage 1 with 93 octane tune.
