Notice today installing a drop in K&N filter only the passenger side intake duct was open. Had a little time and with the help of a dremel its now functional. Sounds a lot better in higher RPM. Not sure if any improvement in performance?

Also of note: K&N filters have been described as "rock catchers" for a reason.

Your OEM paper filter will flow plenty of air for a stock car. No need to "upgrade" to something that lets in more dirt.

? i've used them for 15 years never had any problems. Guess with any mod theres a fine line with performance and failure.
