Wow really....that sucks....never heard of such craziness in a car amp. Well anyway that link I sent you is supposed to work but who knows. Was going to try and see if it will work. Otherwise probably going to give up on all this.

So I got the dash apart in preparation and put everything back but getting airbag light. Anyone know how to reset this? I have a scanner but doesn't seem to see it. Thank you!

I haven't ever had to reset it, however you can pop the airbag light out of the trim without disconnecting it so you don't have to deal with that in the future.

Well I am happy to say I got everything working. I used the connects2 Amp retention kit. I now have an aftermarket head unit while still using the fender audio. The only caveats are that there is no independent Subwoofer control. It still sounds great and now I have Wireleas CarPlay. I do not use everything else on the MIB2 so I am overjoyed. Just so everyone knows it can be done.
