BCM and GW replacement

so in order to implement all the retrofits I want, I need to replace both BCM and Gateway, from Mid to High version.

so I just need to pull the battery, replace both, and then write old coding and adaptations?

I know that component protection will kick in and needs to be cleared by the dealer, but what will actually happen with component protection? I mean, will the car be possible to be driven to the dealer?

quite some time has passed and I ended up going for HIGH BCM and Gateway TODAY.

Replaced the two modules. Yes, copied coding and adapts, it took like 3 hours for the BCM. CP kicked in on about 4 modules, and I went to dealer.

dealer cleared CP but there are issues with Gateway parameters / FeC codes.
