I didn’t get around to do anything official. I will say the kit held up very well and performed great. Nothing bad to say about it. I have a lot of friends running that kit now and would recommend it. I’m only switching because Rotora is offering a lot of back end support and it’s a more race oriented kit that will suite my application better.

Got the car out for a drive the other night. Borrowed a friends wheels and went to a local meet. Nice weather and it was great to finally drive my car again. I was really surprised the feel the downforce on the highways. I was driving into a steady head wing and my god the car was sooooo planted.



The next day I drove up to Definitive Tuning and dropped it off to have the new turbo installed and COBB pro tuned. I should have it back by the end of the week!

Here it is after a few months of waiting. The new @dbv2 V2 IS38 Hybrid Turbo. They basically take an OEM is38 and turn it into this monster.

This is the very first V2 in Canada!

Also picked up some new tires. 225/40/18 Pirelli Trofeo R’s for the rear. Mounted to the Option Lab R716 18x8.5, I already have new fronts but picked up these used Tropheos for almost nothing to practice on in the spring. Save my good tires for races. 265/35/18 on the 18x9.5. You can see how they fit.

More than happy with the outcome of this. Spark plugs need to be re gapped as you can see it drop off a bit but we’re not going for any more power even though it’s available.

Hybrids do work when built right!

No everything falls under street and street MOD rules. I would get detroyed in unlimited.

Well it’s been a long day. Started at noon and just stopped. Had to work on the chassis mount splitter brackets a bit. Had the whole front end apart.

Then test fit the new Optionlab R716 wheels. Which look incredible. Fitment is great.

After than I worked on the beginning on the splitter end end plates.

Then got a wash and took some pics.

I also went WOT in 2nd gear for the first time. ( tires are cold so I’m not going crazy and it’s freezing here still). All I gotta say it HOLY S*** it fast and the power comes on so fast. I’m so impressed. Makes my is38 feel like my NA Ford Focus hahahah.
