Ebay mirror caps

My mentality has always been if you're looking to do it right then you don't skimp on small details like this. I'm also a perfectionist and OCD so that caters to my craziness. This is also my first car, so I plan on keeping it for the long haul. In my build i opted to buy the OEM High Gloss Black Mirror Caps from DAP. I never go cheap with small cosmetic mods. I also had them lightly polished and wrapped in Xpel to preserve them knowing black swirls show much easier.

I am no longer worthy.
Guess my Dyna Blinks make up for my cheapness.

I'm not knocking you pal or anyone that buys the eBay version of the caps. If i didn't go full OEM on a lot of my cosmetic mods I would have the Euro Tails already lol. I have to wait until spring to get them. Also the dynablink's are straight fire and I'm jealous haha.

From super close you can see some of the molding lines


Fitment was near perfect. Took a couple minutes of fidgeting to get it on flush, but once it snapped on it was fine.


From a realistic distance if I didn't know better I wouldn't think they weren't OEM.


I also tossed these on and they're absolutely amazing https://www.becautoparts.com/products/vw-mk7-golf-gti-blue-tint-aspherical-mirrors. I already had my mirrors lined up for blind spots

But I still found myself wanting to turn my head for reassurance. These mirrors provide such a wide angle that I feel like I can see everything around my car with confidence.

are these placed on top of the current casing or does it replace?

Did your original white mirror caps come off without any trouble?

I kind of wouldn't mind having matching ones (17 sport, came with black caps)
