2015 ACC retrofit

Found a few dead postings about this bit never with any answers. I have a 2015 GTI with the drivers assistance package. I just found a button set with the ACC buttons. Would I be able to install this then somehow turn on the ACC with VCDS/odbeleven?

I actually bought a steering wheel for the paddle shifters (didn't come on Canadian TDIs), and it had the ACC buttons.

I tried probably 20 different combinations of coding to even get my cruise control to work with the ACC buttons; came to the conclusion (reading various other boards and Ross-Tech) that not only would ACC not work, but also even regular cruise control. So, I had to do a button swap (pulled the non-ACC buttons off my old steering wheel and replaced the ACC buttons on the paddle-shift equipped SW).

Well that's disappointing. Maybe someday someone will figure it out.
