VCDS not working

not in front of that computer. But I get that screen, I go to Chassis, there I see 53-parking brake, I click on that and next window opens however states (Not responding) makes 3 attempts and an error window appears "no response from controller"

53 isn't an installed module, so you won't get a response.

I see that. but if that is where parking brake functions are how do I get it?

Hmm, if you leave the key "on" with door closed doesn't the parking brake stay disengaged?

OP is asking about the VCDS operation to fully open the parking brake for service, that's different than parking brake "off".

Thank you for this. Couldn't for the life of me figure out how I was going to do my brakes without the 53 option.
