Installed the complete downpipe on my Golf, new set of tale-pipes and stainless steel exhaust.

Positive: the car has some noticeable gains, also installed a racechip ultimate (overall gain is around 25%)

Negative: the car in the cabin is as loud as a Boeing. The noise is obnoxious at low revs and can even hear it when cruising.

Have any of you guys done downpipe and how was your experience?

Taking the car in tomorrow, hoping it will be a bit quieter afterwards.

Quick update, fitted a bigger box and the car is much quieter - only hear the noise when you press the pedal.

1.8 TSI = EA888 = same as GTI

Anyway I wouldn't recommend to swap the DP.
