Seriously doubt he was doing 208. That would be 1000+ hp territory.
Logically, if you were crazy enough to do that, would you then stop at a red light to wait for the cop.

You really don't need anywhere near that much HP to reach 208 MPH.

Let me rephrase.
No way in hell he was doing 208. Unless it was a V6 with an intake and straight pipes.

Then on the other hand, we have a chief of police going 107 to referee a game and let off with a laugh from the officer.

Haha yah that's what I was thinking too, maybe the car wasn't registered and figured he was going away in handcuffs regardless so might as well make a run for it? I dunno...

How was he caught if he was able to go at 208mph? I'm sure police vehicles can't go that fast.

It would take around 770HP to reach 208 in that year Mustang, and its fairly easy to do. Just a credit card and an afternoon... no guarantee how long it stays together of course.
