Can anyone recommend a slick under mirror mount for my Escort ix? The shape of the stock mount is odd and precludes the use of most popular mounts Sorry, I posted this before and got a lot of answers, but to the wrong question.

For the auto dim or manual dim mirror? I'll repost my recommendation from your original thread, Blendmount. If manual dim, model # BMG-2019 with a slight modification. Auto dim, BMG-2032 is a direct fit with no mods.

I went with the Mirror Mount from Radar Mount for my Escort Redline but it says it will work with the 9500ix. Was 35 bucks on Amazon and it's been great

I have the passport 8500 and it fits perfectly on top of the mirror. I use a small piece of velcro so it doesn't slide off. It's up high, so people can't see it if they are outside the car.

Could you provide a pic ? i'm struggling to visualize how this would work, and it may save me $35 on the bracket. :D

Thanks

Hey Shortybdub, what is this slight modification? I have the manual mirror with the skinny tapered stem. I figured, I could wrap it in something to make it thicker, but not sure what that would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Did it fit on the skinny curved mirror stem well, or did you have to wrap something around it first to make it thicker?

Even with the shorter screws, you can adjust the mirror almost the full range (but not entirely). Flipping that lever on the bottom to darken against high beams … not so much.

Wow, thanks for the thorough explanation, I really appreciate it! Does it move at all or is it pretty still? I just picked up a Radenso XP with hardwire and one of these mounts.

It stays still. (Of course, now that I just typed that I'm screwed) (Knocks on wood table) :D
