Hello friends, how are you? My name is Juan, im from Argentina.
I have bought a pair of HELIX Golf "R" headlights (both DRL "UU" LEDs supposed to stay on) for my Golf VII (1.6 engine/ NA Lighting Package). Today I installed them and Im having problem with the DRLs. I attached some photos to describe whats going on.
1. Passanger Side Headlight. Low Beams ON. Inner DRL LED turns off.
2. Driver Side Headlight. Low Beams ON. Outter DRL LED turns off.
3. Just DRL LEDs ON + Hazard (or turn signals) ON = WTF! Ugly... the appearence is the same when I turn the low beams.
4. Just DRL LEDs ON = Working OK.
I dont know what is happening... this headlights supposed to be "plug&play" without coding. They are real HELIX headlights (boxing + decals).
If it is important... i have instaled LED CREE 35W lamps in the LOW BEAMS.
It can be something related to Argentinean Golfs electric module, that would need some extra coding? Tomorrow Im going to try installing halogen lamps, which will cause more electrical consumption, just to see...
