VW specialists in Manchester?

At my last service, the VW dealer identified that I will soon need new brake pads and front discs. Now the car's out of warranty and I'm thinking of keeping it for another year, I might explore alternatives to the dealer.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a VW specialist in the south Manchester area?

One of the better rated ones on Google (and most convenient for me) is VAG Manchester. Anyone have any experience of them, good or bad?

Aren't Awesome GTI up that way?

Obviously they are predominantly a retailer but I'm sure I've read they have a workshop too.
