I wanted to get a tow hook plate for my mk7 gti, but the damn dealer did the old let's drill 5 holes into a new cars bumper for now reason thing. Was thinking about the plugs to cover holes but thought it would be too many and look weird. So I ran into a Euro plate website that makes custom plates (recreational use) so I was wondering if I added the euro plate (and have it say something clever or "mk7") to cover up the holes and have the US plates on my tow hook
1.) Is it stupid? Lol
2.) Would it look bad?
3.) Anyone running this setup?

Big N O on the two plates there driver.

If you need a real plate put it on the mount they installed, don't try to church it up lol

Tow hook mount is for when you DONT have holes, but need a state issued plate.

Euro plates are great for when you have holes but DONT need them

Neither of these seem to apply to you

Too busy imo.

Plus the whole concept that you may drive your car over to Europe so you may need to show a different plate at the drop of a hat is silly.
