Auxiliary Switches?

I'd like to add a small panel, preferably, of 2-4 auxiliary switches to mount somewhere in the driver's side footwell near the little drawer. Going to retrofit some fog lights the cheap way, i.e. without touching the rotary switch or BCM, and I like the idea of having a few open spots for future projects.

Has anyone done anything like this, or have any recommendations about general automotive wiring/switch kits? Videos, pics, and/or words of wisdom all appreciated.

raising this thread from the dead...!!! Wanting to do this now in 2023. what suggestions for adding auxilliary switches? (I want to control a custom intercooler water spray, custom interior light, custom exterior lights, and an exhaust valve)

No aux switches in my car, but CJM makes a couple panels for standard Carling switches...

Thanks for the links!! very useful. They look a bit pricy but I can't find any equivalent on TEMU or AliExpress so will have to go with it
