Discover Navigation Update Server error

I've been trying to update the maps on my SD card for a few days now.

When I launch the Discover Care update program on my computer all I get is the error "A connection to the update server is currently impossible"

I have been trying for several days now - I have tried the program on a Mac and on a PC and with two different internet connections.

I have downloaded the latest version of the Discover Care programs. (Mac & PC)

Can't locate anything on the VW UK website that helps.

Anyone know what's going on?

I get the same error but just downloaded the map file from here http://webspecial.volkswagen.de/maps/int/en/index.html and then backed up the SD card and deleted file and replaced with new file - there was an error with the new file a while back and it wouldn't work, that has been fixed , that's why you should back up the old file
