On my way to work this morning my low coolant light pops one. I pull over and I'm a bit below min line. I use my coolant jug from the hatch and top off to get me to my local dealer. They take a look at it for the third time.
Every so 10,000 miles this has been happening. Brought it to the dealer once for this problem already. But they pressure test and said I was good.
Well today I guess I got a decent tech to finally look at it and turns out I've been leaking coolant for a decent time from a "defect" in the water pump. Luckily I have 48,xxx miles on it. And was covered under 50k warranty.
Hope someone else can use this to save some cash of doing it outside warranty.
