Got less than 3k miles on a 17 Golf S and the back rear passenger door is leaking water into the cabin. Dealer says the issue is due to the door panel not being flush as the aftermarket speaker wont let it sit flush. News to me, I didn't realize the interior door panel was what made the car watertight. Service manager says its preventing the door from sealing at the bottom and water is getting in that way, which contradicts me showing the service rep water dripping out from the center of the bottom of the door. Is the service manager right and the interior door panel must be 100% flush with the door for it to be water tight? Never heard this explanation ever used before, and he basically admitted hes looking for excuses not to further troubleshoot the leak as a warranty issue
