MAPerformance is pleased to announce the public release of Stage 2 Calibrations for the Volkswagen Mk7 GTI. As with all MAPerformance OTS Calibrations, the Mk7 GTI Stage 2 cals have been rigorously developed & refined both on the street and on the chassis dyno ensuring optimized performance, consistency & safety, with improved drivability over stock.

MAPerformance OTS calibrations are available for 91 octane (95RON) and 93octane (98RON) fuels, and currently Stage 1 and Stage 2 hardware options for the Mk7 GTI. All calibrations offer a considerable increase in power and torque throughout the entire RPM range, and tremendous efforts have been put into refining drivability and consistent torque-to-pedal mapping—ensuring predictable torque response in all driving scenarios!

With a completely stock vehicle, the MAPerformance Stage 1 calibrations deliver up to 75whp and 90wtq over stock, while retaining all of the OEM safety features for knock control and adding further proactive compensations for extreme conditions.

With the MAPerformance Stage 2 Package – including the MAPerformance Air Intake System and free-flowing Downpipe the engine is able to breathe much easier, employing much more efficient horsepower and torque. With the Stage 2 calibrations, one can experience gains of up to 90whp and 100wtq!

I didnt know that cobb released flat foot shifting and LC for the manual, this is good news. I'm assuming that 2015 through 2017 GTis are supported?

Thank you

Hey everyone! Last weekend was our annual "Proving Grounds" event up at Brainerd International Raceway. It was an amazing time as usual. We were actually able to bring up our new shop car (2015 GTI DSG no PP) to do some further R&D since honestly, we haven't had the chance to bring our car up to the track!

The car is currently fitted with our Stage 2 package including our 3" intake, 3" catless downpipe, and our OTS Stage 2 93 octane tune. stock DSG tune, stock tires, full interior. We wanted to see what the average consumer could accomplish with our Stage 2 kit. We were pleasantly surprised by the results given the not so friendly weather. Temps over the weekend were in the mid 80's, with 85% humidity, and a DA of 2800.

We got a lot of runs in Saturday and Sunday. Friday night we were able to get some shake down runs in. With the fact that we had an untuned DSG (which really made it tough to get good 60ft), and traction control, we were struggling to get below 14.3's all night. We knew the car had more in it, and it felt powerful going down the track. Luckily, Saturday morning, Cobb released their new traction control feature for the MK7. Timing couldn't have been better! We quickly updated the AP with the latest firmware, and started playing around with the new settings. Immediately we were in the mid 13's! Overall, not as quick as we wanted to go, but considering the heat and humidity, these times seem pretty darn good for a DP, intake and OTS Stage 2 tune. The new traction control feature from Cobb really did make some improvements with the short amount of time we played with it. So that is promising!

Here is some video footage from the weekend!
