MQB Infotainment - Settings Menu disabled when on motion.

Is there a Adaptation Setting available to remove the Speed Restriction for accessing the Settings Menu.

Any Settings Menu (Car Settings, Audio Settings, etc) is available only when the vehicle is in Stop. And is disabled, when the speed is above 0.

This is a safety feature, but is annoying when it is really needed to access.

Is there a way to disable this feature in VCDS ?

Thanks,
Ravi.

I wish. Audio controls work but Drive Mode, Car Menu settings, etc. are [emoji1304][emoji724]

No, I meant they were locked out in 2017.

I have a 2015 and I can do everything while in motion.

Played around with the 5F Infotainement Controller Adaptations and was able to get it work.

Below is the steps to enable blocked settings menu items for Car (General Settings), Media, Phone and Radio

1. From VCDS, select Controller Module 5F-Information Electr.,

2. Enter Security Login code = 20103

3. Under Adaptions, Query for the channels listed below and set the value = NON_BLOCKED (Blocked means, settings not available in motion), for each of them.

Verified that the adaptations listed above allow use of all functions during motion on my 2017 GTI Sport. There are a number of other channels which show "blocked" as their setting, but only the ones listed apply to NAR cars.

Thanks so much for posting this. I was able to un_block all the blocked menus. 2017MY have quite a few menus blocked especially in Navigation, compared to very few blocks in 2016MY.

Thanks for this! I have been searching for this mod for awhile now. Going to drop coin on VAG-COM now!

OBDeleven is $60. RyEns just used it to do mine on Monday. Only issue was I hadn't factory reset the infotainment system after the change and CarPlay was freezing up like crazy. Simple fix and very convenient.

I know ODBEleven is a lot cheaper than VAG-COM, but I want to help support Ross-Tech. They have put a lot into their product and help out the VW community, so I don't have a problem paying a premium. Besides, there is some functionality you get from VAG-COM not found in ODBEleven, like backing up your configuration!
