It's funny how trends change (or maybe just my opinion). Back on the MKV when the intake was built into the engine cover, I couldn't wait to get rid of that thing. This actually interests me.
I haven't tried to remove mine but From what I've read, it's pretty difficult to remove these with that ball post.

I wonder why the name it “Euro cover”. I have never seen it mounted on a GTI / R Golf 7 in Sweden. Seems to be a misunderstanding.
