Btw I vote for the silver over oem. Totally transforms the look and angles of the wheel and brings out interesting details.

Totally clueless about plasti dip. How durable is the finish on wheels and I'm assuming this was DIY. Cost and effort?

I saw someone on the forums paint their Nogaros gunmetal and I thought they turned out amazing

That is the exact picture that inspired me. When I saw that I knew I had to get me some Nogaros.

The plastidip in aluminum is only available at Dipyourcar.com, apparently. I'm not affiliated with them at all, but I have enjoyed many of the DIY videos. The stuff is pretty durable. Totally worth playing around with. The problem I have had with it, though is that the cans tend to spit. If the cans are new and soaked in warm water they spray better, but I had a hard time painting these wheels. Once it starts spitting the finish comes out too textured, but still impressive from 5 feet away. Fun to try.

The plastidip is a lot of fun. The black looks fantastic for about 7 minutes until the slightest amount of brake dust appears. Thanks for the comments, everyone!

The trick with PlastiDip is to put a double coat of DipCoat on top before it even gets dirty the first time. https://www.dipyourcar.com/collections/car-wash-aftercare/products/dip-coat-spray and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-T24NJ_j5Q . Makes the world of difference. Dip goes from tacky to smooth and shiny.

It is amazing how much better the Nogs look when they're one solid color.

You running stock tires still? Looks so low for freshly installed springs. And even. I'm second guessing whether I really want ED springs or not.

Those are the stock tires still. I wish I could try the ED springs. I didn't even know about them. Everyone raved about the VWR springs, but they are just a tad bouncier than I'd prefer on these crappy California roads. Still, lowering springs and spacers make the car look so much better.
