Adding Speedcamera POI on Satnav

Hello forum users,

I have a 2013 GT TDI Bluemotion. Have recently updated my Satnav maps to the latest release so all good there. However I read somewhere about how to get the speedcamera database to show up as POI on the unit. I transferred POI onto a spare SD card, loaded it in the spare SD slot and switched on my head unit. A message came up to say the information was being loaded/updated but as far as I can tell its not done anything.

To that end, has anyone been successful in doing this on here?

Hi. It is posible. I have don it many times on my discover pro. If you go to the website
https://www.gps-data-team.com/poi/u...ndex.php?poi_data=safety&file=Camera-UK&find=

And download the poi for your place. And you have to download one of this files

. ASC (TomTom, Igo, Navigon)
. CSV (Route66, Garmin, Navman)
. GPX (Garmin)

Images for the POI's can also be imported and must be in the following formats

GIF, JPG, BMP, PNG.

And go to this website.

http://webspecial.volkswagen.de/inf...panion.html?d1=discoverpro&type=poiNavigation

There you imort the POI and pic. And the sight will convert it so it will work for your discover.

Then you have to copy the file to an SD card and insert it to your car.
Go yo maps, then press settings. Press advance settings i think an then you shod see a putton that sey inport poi :)

Hope this helps you and others :)

I have got them to load over Car-net (MIB 2), but have not been able to get an SD card to load. I am keen to make this work, as the VW site conversion also enables a beep warning when the POI's come in range.

There seem to be a few manufacturers of the MIB units, which could have slight differences in their operations and possibilities.
