Had this car for about 4 weeks and it's a blast. I am really missing having a manual transmission.
The DSG is amazing and definitely faster than I will ever be. I just miss rowing gears.

Looking to switch to something very similar with the 6spd Manual instead.

Car is very clean. There is road rash on the passenger rear wheel and driver side rear bumper from the previous owner.
KBB for a 2015 GTI SE is (similar to dealers) $18-$20k.

Shooting for the middle since its low mileage with a few dings and I want to move it quick-ish.

If anyone is interested I will likely buy my replacement from somewhere outside of CA.
I would be willing (and would enjoy) taking a road trip (within reason?) to somewhere in the US to deliver this car.

The discounts on the '17 SE's kill the market for used SE's. You can get a new '17 SE for $7-8K off sticker so I can't imagine there would be too many people out there interested in shelling out $20K for a used '15...

Just to put this out there. I got my '16 GTI S for that price, new too.

Ok, but the MRSP on the S is $5k less than the SE.
So I would expect that.

The KBB on a 2015 GTI S is 16k-17k
The KBB on a 2015 GTI SE is 18k-20k

So it's not quite an Apples / Apples comparison between a S / SE

When looking around for another car, I keep running into these "great" prices which don't list the trim only to figure out that it's a S or a 2D. That seems to make a difference.

I think your ask is fine because you have to consider any potential buyer is going to expect to talk you down a bit. So obviously you would start with a bit more than you actually expect to get.
