If you're in the US it's impossible to register any of the ROW cars unless they're at least 25 years old. So are you talking driving them on private roads, or trying to federalize it, if the parts are available to do so? Even with the parts and unlimited funds, the hassle and paperwork is a PITA, and you won't be driving the car for probably a year or more. Why not buy a nice Veyron and call it a day if you don't need carrying capacity, or pay Hennessey to convert a truck or SUV for you?

I think most of us can go on and on.

What was the question again?

Interesting timing of this discussion, as there's a similar thread started recently on miata.net:
https://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=660970

With the premise:
"Imagine picking out the car of your choice, but there is one catch: it's the only one you'll ever get. It has to last your lifetime. If you don't take very good care of it and it dies, you don't get a replacement and you don't get to ride with anyone else. Which one do you choose?"

Wouldn't surprise me if I'm not the only one on both sites.
