So I am looking to get some inlays cut out for the "GTI" emblem on the front grill as well as the side badges? Tried to reach out to badgeskins a couple of times but never heard back from them.

Also tried reaching out to Kliimotorwerks, but they didn't have the template to cut it.

My apologies for not answering you!
You basically need to get the bulb carrier from a country of whom drive on the opposite side of the road to you.
Im from the UK so sourced the carrier for a LHD Drivers side as my fog is a RHD Drivers side carrier.
Once you have this you need to cut out the blanking cap, run a cable from one side to the other inside the boot lid, wire it up and plug it in.
No coding necessary

I wanted to get a GT badge for my boot lid and debadge the original mess that stated:
2.0TDI
Bluemotion

GT badging was last available on the MK5 if im correct and the font is somewhat different now, so I looked at what I could do with the lettering available.
Sure enough they have a TGI badge for the Turbo Gas engine used in some European countries of which was designated for the rear tailgate.
After a quick debadge, clean up and shuffle round here it is
