Hi all,
Since installing my Helix almost a year ago, I found the auto power on/off feature(?) to be annoying as all get out.
The scenario: Quite often I like to drive in silence; infotainment on, volume all the way down. I'll get a text message and go to let CarPlay read it to me. Because of the ~3-4 second power up time of the amp, I miss the first half of a text message. And there is no way to reply it once it's read. Frustration ensues.
Has anyone modified this behavior so that when the car is powered up the Helix amp is always on?
I'd also like to re-enable the touch-beep feature in the cars settings. I've disabled that because of this same issue.
I fear that it's getting its power-up signal through the line level outs... which I really don't want to get involved with.
