Dash Cam

Looking to put in my dash cam tonight. Has anyone hard wired it via the panel near the rear view mirror?

If not, I'd like to plug it in, hidden into the center console. Is there an optimal route to route a 10 ft USB cable from the camera to the power source?

if you have a sunroof, it will be easier to wire it to the power wire of the sunroof and chassis ground somewhere overhead.

Ended up running the wire to the interior fuse box. Thanks though!
