I've received the JB4 Smart Phone Wireless Connect Kit a couple days ago and watched the below installation video on Youtube.

I didn't find any installation instructions on the web site or inside the shipped package.
My main question is do I need to disconnect the battery to install the wireless kit or can I simply unplug the cable obdii cable that is connected to the jb4 unit and complete the wireless kit installation? If I don't disconnect the battery, does the car need to be in sleep mode during the installation?
