Exhaust crackles??? I want it

So in the gti sub they were talking about a tune that can give you this. How is this done for us

I want this but thought this was caused by aggressive tunes and catless dp. My car does it slightly at times.

Popping can be caused by a lean tune, the exhaust temps are higher and leftover fuel ignites in the exhaust

Same way, just an ECU tweak that lets out a little amount of fuel into the exhaust.

I believe it's just a really small amount of unburnt fuel. I don't believe it'll affect fuel consumption unless the huge amounts are being let out.

From what I've read... I think the more fuel it lets out, the louder and longer the crackles/pops last.

It can't be too bad, manufacturers are adding it into their stock cars too (Clubsport S, Focus RS, Jaguar F-Type, Huracan too I believe, etc.)

Probably just added wear on the catalytic converters. It should still last a good amount of time unless the mapping is designed to dump more fuel for longer and louder crackles/pops.
