Ok, so do tell. Ur old Stage 1 on ur GTI vs ur Stage 1 on ur Rex...which is faster?

GTI for sure. The stage 1 on the WRX really just fixes the factory tune and doesn't add much power. The boost levels are stock and more linear. So no added boost at all for a stage 1 on the WRX.

Stage 2 WRX vs stage 1 GTI would be a better comparison.

However, the GTI definitely had traction and wheel hop issues at stage 1. Both issues I won't have with the WRX when it gets to stage 2 which is really just adding a J-pipe (downpipe).

I'm not power hungry, but I like having a car that goes when I need to pass someone.

I'm pretty sure the GTI was also lighter.

Reason why I went with GTI. The 2.0L WRX comes boosted at stock like it's stage 2 level. It used to come around 10-13 lbs at stock on 2.5L, but 2.0 is about 20 lbs at stock.
