For those looking a set of Clubsport Recaro seats:

https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-...60873-223-4885

Nice find!
"Only" $4,300 and I'm not sure if shipping/customs are included, but I'm sure they're not.
They'll probably end up being close to $5,000 by the time all is said and done. The BMW Performance seats that looked very similar were $5,500 shipped to the US.

Clubsport S part numbers

While the regular GTI Clubsport shares the very most parts with the
GTI Performance, the low-sample Clubsport S
comes with the above
listed dedicated hardware* for an improved performance on track. Keep
in mind, these are GTI Clubsport S parts, not just GTI Clubsport parts.

VW claimed they ran the Nurburgring record lap with a stock Clubsport
S model. If that's true, these are the record-braking pads and rotors.
From theory these brake pads should provide increased performance
while still daily driveable. They're certainly no hardcore track-only
parts like Pagid RS29 or Endless NA35 etc., which would annoy you
with squeal.

Unfortunately, the rear pads don't fit NA market GTI Performance, as
ROW/Euro Golfs use to come with an eletromechanical parking brake
thus different rear calipers and pad shape.
They do fit all Golf R though, as well as ROW/Euro GTI Performance
and GTI Clubsport. Anyways, these parts are likely hard to obtain in
the US and Canada.
Contrarily, the front brakes are the same on both NA and ROW/Euro
versions on all GTI Performance, GTI Clubsport and R (despite color).

The latter means, that the front brake pads will fit on any of these
performance Golfs equipped with the bigger 340 mm brakes. If those
rotors will fit as well? I depends on the wheels bearings I guess. The
Clubsport S uses Audi TT bearings (8S part number) and I cannot
guarantee these wheel bearings are the same physical dimensions as
the GTI/R ones. Different bearing width may make need for different
rotor hat height/offset. So someone would need to try the rotors first
or if required
as well use TT bearings.

Hope you get what I'm talking about.

Breakingbadly, thank you very much for the part numbers!!

I am very interested in trying some of the parts, especially the knuckles/bearings/rotors... I have looked long & hard but cannot find a retailer... Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Ben.

Hallo Ben,
some of these parts aren't available yet. Heard they will be in October or November.
Guess it's simply that no CSS is delivered to customers yet, thus no need to provide
any spare parts.

Hallo!

All the parts listed do appear on the unofficial ETKA on internet but also at my local VW dealer here in France. Prices are not listed however, which supports what you say: not yet available.

Not sure whether the "C" front rotors are plug&play with R/S3/PP hubs and carriers, will report here whenever I find out.

Cheers,
Ben

Thank you, TecklenburgVW, for the part numbers!!

I did ask the parts guy to order one front ClubsportS wheel bearing and hub as soon as it's available: I have a set of old ones from my 2015 Mk7 PP Gti to compare dimensions. If they match, then the two piece front rotor should fit right in with PP/R/S3 calipers...

Cool thing is, the parts guy is just as excited as I am and so is keeping an eye out for availability :-)

Another fun thing to look into will be the additional lateral water radiator (though Forge are releasing an enlarged radiator to replace the main oem one).

Prices on the seats are confirmed to be very high, over 3K Euro :-( I'd trade my Gti in for a Clubsport, but it throws me in a higher C02/Tax bracket where I'd pay over 2K euro per annum: no way!!!

'neways, will post whatever I find, and keep looking here in the meantime to see what you guys find out :-)

Anyone able to give the size and part numbers of the swar bars to see what VW decided to do differently to the GTi?

I would like confirmation if this RSB is used on the Clubsport? I am told it's a Euro-only PN. Brought it in from Germany.

5Q0 511 305 BA

The specs say it is 21.7mm x 3.6mm wall thickness. When I measured it measures at 22mm by 3.6mm - not sure if it measures slightly bigger because of the finish? ButI'll take it haha!

Probably because of paint/powder coat.

Most Euro GTIs or at least most Euro GTI Performance should come
with that 5Q0 511 305 BA - 21.7 mm x 3.6 mm sway bar, while some
or all NA spec GTIs seem to have a 21 mm bar.

Btw, it's made by Mubea who also do the Mk.VII DG springs.

ps:
The Audi TT 8S (MQB) and some A3 8V come with a 24 mm x 3.8 mm
front sway bar. Part number 5Q0 411 303 R.

Thanks for the info!

I also have DG springs on standby!

Is that 24mm FSB on the Audis different than what a GTI PP would have?

21mm doesn't seem very thick, what is the standard GTi RSB?

This one I have is 22mm according to the calipers.. 21.7 according to VW.

Standard GTI I've seen both 19mm and 20mm IIRC.

Plus this 22mm bar is going on my 1.8T which currently is only 18mm I think.. so going from 18x2.5 to 21.7x3.6 is a significant uprate.

I agree, if you are coming from 18mm to 22mm is should be very noticeable.

Thanks again.
