Oil temp before hitting it hard

Ya my other turbo cars I've never had a temp gauge so always just warmed it up until I thought it was good. Tho my 3000gt I have boost limited by coolant temp so that helps just in case, but I still baby it

For the first three weeks of ownership I thought the coolant temp was the oil temp. The only time I really got on it early though was once, after installing a dogbone mount to check for wheel hop. Probably not the end of the world but being a worry wart I do think about it.

On the BMW platform, the JB4 doesn’t even add boost till oil temp is over 170. Not sure if it does this with VW.

It adds boost regardless of the oil temp.
