Sunday Nov 12 - Bear Mountain Meet - 1000am

Hey guys, setting up what can be considered a final meet for the year. This pending the weather is good (no rain date). It will be chilly so bundle up.

Planning to meet on the Van Wyck Service Road just past 20th Ave so we can get on the highway to the Hutchinson, Cross Bronx, Thruway and Palisades.

Departure from Queens: 0845
Eta at Hessian Lake parking: 1000

Times setup early to beat traffic and so we can enjoy the day. Feel free to take any routes you wish to the parking lot in the pic below. Great roads in Bear Mountain and you also have Storm King Mountain - Route 218 just north with half of the roads repaved. It is a road I HIGHLY recommend driving on. As you are heading north you can exit to a turnaround at the end and head back south.

I miss it but even with them we would occasionally get hassled. How is it with BMW's/VW's? idk how you folks did them but we would have 10-20 cars and do intersection blocking and travel at somewhat above the recommended speed limit. I'm in CT and know one great loop of 100+ miles (back roads) in CT and one of 140 Miles in MA.

Too bad that Sunday I'll be in RI :-( I always drive around there and use to join drives with Mini Coopers 40+ cars but we went very early so we never had any issues.
Hopefully I'll join one of these next time, good luck
