Traffic Signs in Canadian ‘17 R

So I took a shot at this and it works almost flawlessly. This is a pre-facelift ‘17 R.

- All black on white NA style speed limit signs seem to get picked up.
- No Passing seems to get picked up as well.
- Display on dash is the EU style speed limit (that is OK)

The only issue that I would love to solve is that after about a minute of driving, I get a warning that states “Road Sign Display Restricted Function”. But everything still works. The error is annoying as there is a beep when it does. Any way to turn off the warning or the beep?

Do you have DAP?

A quick google search says:

Yes, have DAP. How does this work? Does the camera actually read the speed limit signs?

Anyone in the US try it? Will it work on 2016 models? I don't know if we use the same camera as 17's.

Nope, still bings every morning.
Hopefully can figure out how to stop the bing at laeast. Other than that works as expected.

Correct, the front facing camera uses programming to identify and then display the speed limit signs. So it may only be a matter of programming or updating the module in charge of it and enabling the feature.

I can't do this step, gives me only the option of picking my vehicle model/variant via drop-down menu for all bytes of A5.
