CarStick connection to Infotainment system - configuring WLAN hotspot

I'm trying to use the Infotainment system to connect my iPhone SE to the internet via my CarStick.

The Composition Media, Discover Media Infotainment system manual page 18 says "If the Infotainment system is connected via the CarStick, it can be used as a WLAN hotspot to connect up to 8 devices to the internet."

I'm getting the error message "WLAN is not available. Another data connection is already in use."
Well yes, it is, I agree.
My CarStick is already plugged into the USB socket in the car as I use Car-Net a lot.

How do I assign my iPhone SE to the Infotainment system using its WLAN hotspot function?

Same here can’t connected to hotspot find hotspot greyed out so cant continue, not even 2 dealers can sort it or even have a clue what a hotspot even is that the impression I get. Bloody shambles
